Our Integrated Risk Management and Corporate Plan 2016-20 summarises how we consider all the fire and rescue related dangers that could affect our communities and how we aim to tackle them. It considers the new emerging corporate threats and opportunities that we face and the innovative new approaches we are developing to continue to deliver our purpose and aims.

The Operational Strategy 2011-2014 outlines some of the proposed changes to operations over the next three years. This includes how we manage our resources across Greater Manchester to help to keep people safe.
This Prevention Strategy outlines how Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) will help to prevent death and injury as a result of fire and other emergencies, prevent the occurrence of fires and other emergencies and support our wider commitment to the health and wellbeing of the people that live in, workwithin and visit Greater Manchester.
Strategic Intent Document
In 2008/9 GMFRS's Management Team embarked on an extensive staff consultation exercise which recognised the full implications of the global financial crisis, as well as making a commitment to staff to engage them in designing the Fire and Rescue Service of the future, in a manner not previously attempted.
We maintain this document to help us to identify and mitigate the opportunities and threats that might impact on our ability to deliver our functions.
